Arvilla Schuldt, 87


Mrs. Arvilla E. Schuldt, age 87, of Kimball died Saturday, March 22, 2003, at Hilltop Care Center, Watkins. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 25, 2003, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Kimball with Rev. Dave Milz officiating. Burial followed in the Kimball Cemetery. Friends called from 5-8 p.m. on Monday, March 24, at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel in Kimball and one hour prior to services at the church. A prayer service was held at 7 p.m. on Monday. Arvilla Evelyn Schuldt was born on Sept. 14, 1915, in Becker to James and Jennie (Erickson) Leverton. She married Edward A. Schuldt on Aug. 20, 1932, in Foley; he preceded her in death on June 17, 1974. She lived in Minneapolis from 1945-1973, then in Kimball until becoming a resident of Hilltop Care Center three years ago. She was a homemaker, member of St. John’s Lutheran Church and St. John’s Quilting Group, volunteer for the Senior Dining Center, and she loved to dance and play card games. Arvilla was preceded in death by her husband, brother James, and sisters Irene and Pearl. She is survived by her four children: Kenneth (and Jean) Schuldt of Minnetonka, Irene (and Carl) Hoffman of Kimball, Dolores (and Paul) Holm of Aurora, IL, and Donald (and Darlene) Schuldt of Elysian; two sisters, Ethel Danielson and Jennie Marie Clitty, both of Hopkins; 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Todd Hoffman, Bryan Hoffman, Gary Holm, Tanner Schuldt, Troy Hoekstra and Kenneth Zielke. Honorary pallbearers were Scott Schuldt, Dean Schuldt, Sandra Zagorski, Lori Zielke, Susan Hoekstra, McKenzie Schuldt and Marne Schuldt. The organist was Marilyn Cooper. Memorials are preferred to St. John’s Lutheran Church Building Fund. Arrangements were by Dingmann Funeral Care of Kimball.
