?ÄúThere are 19 different Smithsonian Institution museums from which we can get programming,?Äù Stearns History Museum Executive Director Tim Hoheisel said. ?ÄúWe decided to stream programs about areas which we do not cover in our museum. People told us that they like science so that is where we are starting.?Äù Future programs will be about different topics.

The mission of Smithsonian Affiliations is to share resources with Americans in their own communities by developing collaborative partnerships with museums, cultural and educational organizations. Together, we bring the Smithsonian, in all of its breadth and scope, to local communities and create lasting experiences that broaden perspectives on science, history, world cultures, and the arts.

The cost of Smithsonian Saturdays is $7 per adult, $3 per child and free for SHM members. Fee also includes admission into the Exhibit Gallery, Children?Äôs Room, and Research Center.
