Weather: Showers and thunderstorms fired-up Saturday into Sunday across parts of Minnesota bringing with it some heavy rain at times across Minnesota.
Locally heavy rainfall was found across parts of Western and Southern Minnesota mainly Sunday into early Monday morning.
Most of that pushed well off to the east by Monday afternoon and had moved into Eastern Minnesota and Western Wisconsin.
In its wake, high pressure settled in across Western Minnesota and brought quiet and comfortable weather for much of the start of this weekend. High temperatures Monday and Tuesday were generally in the mid to upper 70s with low humidity levels.
Things will start to change, however, as we head towards the weekend as a more zonal flow will develop. This will allow for some Pacific air to move into the Upper Midwest and the chance of showers and thunderstorms returning.
By the way, if you are a weather watcher and would like to be one of my weather spotters, I am back on the air on TV doing weather on Lakes Area News. For all the details go to www.lakesareanews.tv.
Have a wonderful weekend!
