Eagles?Äô football team suffers first loss


The hometown faithful were treated to a barn burner on the gridiron at Eden Valley last Friday night, Sept. 19. Witnessing the Eagles jump out to an early first quarter 14-8 lead, the fans were back sitting on their hands by the halftime break, with the score now in favor of the Irish, 22-21. Following a scoreless third quarter, Maple Lake managed a final-stanza touchdown, to seal the victory, 29-21, and deliver the Eagles their first loss of the season. EV-W quarterback Reese Jansen tossed a couple of TD passes and rushed for

another, but it would prove to be too little too late.
