Wednesday, Jan. 18, at 9 a.m., the Kimball Area High School held the Kimball Area District Spelling Bee. The contestants were ranging from grades 5-8. Principal Eric Widvey was the Pronouncer for the Spelling Bee. The judges were Tabitha Mortenson and Mary Ochs.
There were 20 contestants total in this year?Äôs Spelling Bee, and there was some fierce competition.
A special congratulations should be sent out for Ashley Beehler, the winner of the 2017 Kimball Area District Spelling Bee. She won with the word ?ÄúAllegiance.?Äù The runner-up this year was Skylor Gruba.
