State surplus property auction this weekend in Grand Rapids


Saturday, Aug. 26: this auction includes about 75  motor vehicles, plow trucks, tractors, ATV?Äôs, trailers, boats, motors, and more.

Members of the public are invited to bid on a variety of surplus goods at a State of Minnesota auction Saturday, Aug. 26, in Grand Rapids. The auction will include about 75 cars and trucks including tractors, Kodiak lift truck, as well as trailers, vehicle hoists, snowmobiles, boats, mower, pickup tool boxes, parts washers, chain saws, propane generator, concrete mixers, and much more. The auction opens for inspection and registration at 8 a.m. Bidding begins at about 9:30 a.m. at the Department of Natural Resources building at 1201 East Highway 2 in Grand Rapids. All items are sold as-is, where-is; all sales are final and must be settled in full with cash or personal check the day of the auction. A government issued picture ID is required. 

Convenient, quick and easy registration and bidding numbers are available online. The only requirements are a computer with an internet connection and a printer. The state conducts about 12 surplus goods auctions each year and also sells surplus items continuously online at www.minnbid.org. An auction calendar for 2017 is available online at www.mnsurplus.org.
