On the Oct. 19, 2017, editorial page you posted a cartoon showing the Twitter image of the outline of a bird sitting on a nest filled with hatching eggs labeled ?Äúhate, division, chaos,?Äù etc. Obviously, this is intended as criticism against President Trump for his Twitter messages. I dispute your jaundiced view of Trump that claims he is sowing division in this country with his outspoken tweets. The Democrats are the ones causing division with their constant lies and attacks against Trump for doing the very things that we, including the patrons of your newspaper, elected him to do.
Is Trump supposed to stand idly by and let Democrats scream for his impeachment on empty charges of collusion with the Russians? Should he let Democrats lie about his tax reform proposal, about the necessity of repealing Obamacare, and about Hillary Clinton?Äôs involvement in scandal after scandal? Should he emulate George W. Bush, who never entered the fray and never defended his policies against the tirades of the Left?
We Trump supporters are glad he?Äôs defending himself and his policies and support him in his efforts to improve the lives of all Americans. The question remains: why don?Äôt you?
