The Kimball chapter of Ducks Unlimited held their inaugural banquet Friday, April 11, at Playland Ballroom in Kimball. They hoped for 150 people, expected 100, 200 tickets were sold and nearly 200 attended the banquet. Ducks Unlimited took in more than $20,000 in tickets, raffles, and silent auction items.

 

20 years ago

Jacob Klein and Andrea Mertens were named to Boys and Girls State. 

The public was invited to Kimball’s Education Association Tea Time April 23.

 

30 years ago

St. Cloud Singing Saints performed in Kimball April 23. Proceeds from the event were all donated towards the Kimball gymnastics program. 

 

40 years ago

Kimball Express baseball won their opener game against rivals Pearl Lake, 5-4. 

Kathy Hunt was invited by the United States Track and Field Federation to compete in Jamaica in Ocho Rios. Hunt also received two gold medals at a Girls’ Track Meet in Rockford.
