The 92nd annual Fairhaven Old Settlers Day is now history. Held Saturday, June 30, the day began with a parade through town.

There was plenty of food and drink, games and fun throughout the rest of the day. The crowning point of the day (pun intended) was coronation, set to begin at
5 p.m. in the Lions Shelter.
Like last year, there were three candidates for three Ambassador spots for Fairhaven. Bailey Dominick, Alexandra Packard, and Jenna Bidwell all were crowned Fairhaven Ambassadors that evening. Packard was selected by her peers as Miss Congeniality.
The girls were judged in eight categories including cover letter and resume, panel interview, public speaking, community engagement skills, and more. They were observed throughout that day.
The three Ambassadors will represent Fairhaven at various events around the state. Their first public appearance will be in the Annandale 4th of July parade.
The same individuals judging 2018 candidates also observed the 2017 Ambassadors, and they recommended Siera Dagner as the 2019 Aquatennial Candidate from Fair Haven.
Coordinator Jody Markgraf extends a special “thank you” to the Fairhaven Lions. “A town festival takes a lot of work to put on,” she says. Volunteers are always needed, and everyone hopes the festival makes it to its 100th year.
