Last week’s Tri-County News was filled with beautiful drawings by students at both Eden Valley-Watkins Elementary and Kimball Elementary School. Each of the selected drawings was sponsored by a local business in our Christmas greetings section.

A giant “thank you” to all of the students who did the artwork! Some were beautifully done, some were comical, and some of them were quite detailed.

From the drawings selected for last week’s paper, we chose 13 at each school to be awarded cash prizes. On Friday, Dec. 21, their award letters were delivered at each school.

The first-place winner at Eden Valley-Watkins was Addison Thielen for her manger scene. Second place went to Kira Possail and Paige Kneip. The remainder of awards were for third place.

The first-place winner at Kimball Elementary was Lilliah Krippner for her portrait of Snoopy. Second place went to Claire Maus and Garrett Loch. The remainder of awards were for third place.

“Thank you” too to all the teachers who helped to make this project possible again. Our advertisers love to sponsor the drawings. Most of all, our readers love to see the artwork.

Perhaps most importantly, our undying gratitude to our advertisers who sponsored drawings to make it all possible again this year. The Christmas greeting section is probably the most popular thing we do all year. If not for the advertisers, though, it would not happen. Please be sure to thank any of the advertisers with whom you do business for their support of these drawings, and their week-to-week support of our communities through the Tri-County News.

Thank you all!
