Register for Trivia Weekend, St. Cloud State’s 50-hour fact contest to be broadcast Feb. 15-17 on radio, TV and the Internet.
The marathon’s theme is “Trivia University,” a nod to
St. Cloud State’s Sesquicentennial celebration.
The contest is broadcast on KVSC 88.1 FM’s terrestrial and Internet channels. UTVS TV will telecast the contest live on
St. Cloud Charter channel 180 and on the utvs.com webstream.

St. Cloud State. Among the queries will be visual questions and audio questions. Among the question writers are Chad Schmitz, a
St. Cloud State technology coordinator; Bruce Petersen, retired Stearns County dispatcher and jailer; and Tom Steman, St. Cloud State archivist.
The poster was designed by Wesley Beskar, TV studio engineer, and Derrick Silvestri, TV studio manager and UTVS advisor.
The contest runs from 5 p.m. Friday, Feb. 15, to 7 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 17. The awards ceremony is at 8 p.m. Sunday in Ritsche Auditorium.
The after-party follows about
9 p.m. in the main room of the Red Carpet Nightclub, downtown
St. Cloud. Performing will be Shake a Hamster Band which writes, records and performs parodies of pop tunes exclusively for Trivia Weekend.
Community teams are $50. College teams and high school teams are free. Registration closes 4:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 15. Register by mail or in-person at 27 Stewart Hall.
