Notice of Public Hearing
Notice is hereby given that the Stearns County Planning Commission, in and for the County of Stearns, will conduct a public hearing to consider a conditional use permit application submitted by LJS Farms, LLC, for Lawrence and Julie Schneider, Kimball MN according to the requirements of Section 4.4, 4.6, 4.8, 4.14, 6.7 and 9.2 of Stearns County Land Use and Zoning Ordinance #439 to construct a 69’x231’ total confinement barn with a 81’x231’x12’ concrete underbarn liquid manure storage area (LMSA) and a 12’x231’ feed lane, a 50’x100’x4’ concrete permanent stockpile pad and expand the feedlot from 165 Animal Units (AU) consisting of slaughter cattle to 694 AUs consisting of slaughter cattle. The property under consideration is located at 17224 101st Avenue, Kimball MN 55353 in the SE ¼ of the SW ¼ in Section 15 of Maine Prairie Township.
Notice is further given that the above hearing will be held on Thursday, February 21, 2019 beginning at 7:00 PM at the
Stearns County Service Center West, 3301 County Road 138, Room 121, Waite Park, Minnesota.
A copy of the proposed request is on file in the Stearns County Environmental Services Office, County Administration Center, 705 Courthouse Square, Room 343, St. Cloud, Minnesota and can be viewed during regular business hours. This request can also be viewed approximately one week prior to the meeting at
co.stearns.mn.us by clicking on Board & Committee Meetings. Action taken on this application will be available shortly after the meeting at the same website location.
All interested persons are invited to attend said hearings or submit written testimony prior to the hearing date either in support of or in opposition to the proposed request. Written testimony should be submitted to the Stearns County Environmental Services Department, Administration Center, 705 Courthouse Square, Room 343, St. Cloud, Minnesota 56303.
