The Kimball FFA Chapter went to the University of Minnesota in the Twin Cities this past weekend for the 90th Minnesota State FFA Convention.
The teams that competed included Ag Mechanics, Dairy Evaluation, General Livestock, Meats, Small Animals, and the Best Informed Greenhand competition.
Individual contestants included Horse, Prepared Public Speaking, and Farm Bureau Discussion. Bailee Schiefelbein, who went for Prepared Public Speaking, came out a finalist, and runner-up in third place.
Even though none of our other teams were finalists, our FFA Chapter couldn’t be more proud of the accomplishments our CDE (Career Development Events) teams have done this year, and we can’t wait to see what next year has in store for us.
The Kimball FFA Chapter annual FFA banquet is coming up. The banquet is scheduled to start at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 8, in the Kimball high school cafeteria. Everyone is welcome, and there will be free food. Come see the retiring officers leave, and the new officers installed.
