Get the family out on the water during this event, which will be held on three Sundays this summer – June 16, July 7 and Aug. 18, all at 10 a.m. Beginners will learn essential skills, from how to set off safely from shore to the most effective paddling strokes. Canoes, life jackets, and paddles are provided, so participants need only bring their sense of adventure and love of the outdoors.
Cost for the program is $15 per canoe. Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. The minimum age for this event is eight years old.
A Minnesota State Parks vehicle permit $7/day or an annual permit is required to enter the park.
