I don’t normally write much about myself or my family. But this is an important exception.
Back on Valentine’s Day, just before my husband Anton was due to return here from a trip overseas to bury his mother, he had a massive heart attack followed by six hours of emergency open-heart surgery. This was a stressful time – both for Anton going through this medical crisis, and for us here not being able to do anything but wait for the latest update on his situation.
As it turns out, he was in very competent hands, and they truly saved his life. (By all accounts, he should not have survived the flight over there, in the middle of the Polar Vortex here.)
We want to thank everyone here who was praying for and thinking of us during this time. It all worked, thankfully! Anton has been home now just over a month, and is back to work.
So why the concert, and the photos? It’s my way of committing to “getting out” more. It’s something we both need to do more often. The photos are a fun bonus to our readers, too.
