Learn about trees and shrubs of Lake Maria State Park


Come 10 a.m. Saturday,
May 18 and learn from  Biologist -Stephen G. Saupe of the College of
St. -Benedict/St. John’s University about the trees and shrubs that grow in Lake Maria State Park. He will discuss how to identify woody plants, and you’ll learn some interesting and fun facts.

There is no fee for the program, but a $7 daily vehicle permit will be charged for those without an annual permit.

Lake Maria State Park is located approximately seven miles -northwest of Monticello, five miles north of Maple Lake and ten miles northeast of Annandale on Wright County Highway 111. For more information about park activities and directions, call the park at (763) 878-2325.
