Robert “Bob” Hentges died Monday, June 17, 2019, at his Kimball home. He was 58.
Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. with a Remembrance Service at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, June 20, at Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel in Kimball with Brian Dingmann serving as celebrant. A celebration will follow at the Kimball American Legion Club until 6 p.m.
Robert John Hentges was born Sept. 5, 1960, in Litchfield. He grew up in Annandale, Litchfield, and Darwin. He resided in the Darwin area most of his life, and moved to Kimball in 2010. Bob worked as an electrician most of his life until purchasing Bob’s Country Salloon, the bar in Darwin that he operated. Bob enjoyed fishing, hunting, throwing darts, playing cards, spending time with family, and hanging out with friends over a Captain Morgan.
Bob was preceded in death by his mother Agnes Hentges; sisters and brothers Elaine, Mary, Debbie, Donna, Karen, Jerry and Paul; and favorite brother-in-law Rick Hunt.
He is survived by his children April (and Jose) Zamora of Kimball, Amanda (and Tom) Eich of Eden Valley, Amelia (and John) Schmitz of Richmond, and Austin Hentges of Kimball; grandchildren Christian, Summer, Skye, Braxton, Bristol and Case; siblings Pat (and Larry) Thorson, Cheryl Tekirdaglis, and Butch (and Stacey) Hentges; and lifelong friend Diana Hentges.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Kimball Fire and Rescue. The honorary urn bearer will be Mike Diederich. Arrangements are entrusted with Dingmann Funeral Care Burial & Cremation Services of Kimball.
