Rose Ann Hennen, 80


Rose Ann Hennen died Monday, July 1, 2019, at her Litchfield home. She was 80.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 6, at the Church of Our Lady in Manannah. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in Our Lady of Manannah Catholic Cemetery.

Rose Ann Catherine Hennen was born Sept. 7, 1938, to John and Rose (Dillon) Garvey in Richmond, Minn. She grew up in Manannah and attended Country School District 28; she graduated from Eden Valley High School in 1956. She was united in marriage to Ray Hennen June 5, 1971, at the Church of Our Lady in Manannah. Throughout her life, she lived in Manannah, Kimball, Watkins, Eden Valley, and Litchfield. She was a bookkeeper and teller at numerous banks, and she was the manager of the Watkins Senior Nutrition Site for many years. She was a member of the Church of St. Anthony in Watkins, St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Kimball, and the Church of Our Lady in Manannah. Rose Ann enjoyed music, dancing, bowling, playing cards, visiting, and reading the newspaper. She volunteered her time at church where she was active in the choir and the Women’s Circle.

Rose Ann was preceded in death by her husband Ray, parents John and Rose, and siblings Sharon, John and Robert.

She is survived by her daughter Lisa (and Harold) Mackedanz of Watkins; grandchildren DerreckHennen (and Kayla Asfeld), Alexa Mackedanz, and Taylor Mackedanz; great-grandson Finley; sister Kay (and Bob) Kipf of Watkins; brother-in-law Gene Janssen of Edina; sister-in-law Shirley Garvey of Paynesville; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Arrangements were by Ertl Funeral Home in Watkins.
