The Clippers traveled to Luxemburg Sunday, June 30, and were handed a 4-3 loss for their troubles.
Reed Pfannenstein earned the win, pitching the full nine innings. He allowed 3 runs on 7 hits, struck out 13, allowed no walks, and committed 3 errors.
Matt Geislinger was tagged with the loss, also pitching the full game. He allowed 4 runs on 7 hits, struck out 10, walked 2, and committed 2 errors.
For the Clippers, Kevin Kramer hit a solo home run in the third inning, the only Clippers hit that inning and Kramer’s only hit on the game. Brendan Ashton was 3-for-4 on the day; he hit a home run in the ninth inning also plating Dan Berg from second base, and he had a pair of singles on the game. Dan Berg was 2-for-4 with a pair of singles, and he scored one of the Clippers’ three runs.
Sam Iten was 3-for-4 at bat and hit a solo home run for the Brewers in the third inning; he also had 2 singles and 2 RBI, and he crossed the plate again for another Brewers run.

Next up, Luxemburg will play at the Pearl Lake Lakers at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 7. The Clippers play the Rockies in Cold Spring at noon Saturday, July 6, and face the Gussies at St. Augusta at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 7.
