Forest City Threshers Show

The daily tractor parade is a big feature of the Threshers Show each year. Spectators line up to watch the parade Saturday morning and Sunday afternoon. The 31st annual Threshers Show in Forest City was held this past weekend, Aug. 17-18. This year’s featured tractor was J.I. Case.

The tractor parade, at 11 a.m. Saturday and 1 p.m. Sunday, is a big feature of the weekend event. But there’s so much more going on: the craft and flea market, breakfasts and dinners, a kids’ tractor pull and a garden tractor pull, and ongoing demonstrations of antique farm equipment.

Held each year on the third Saturday/Sunday of August, the Threshers Show is a highlight of the year. They also have an antique tractor pull and an antique tractor drive at other times of the year.

The Threshers Show and its facility are all volunteer-run. New members who share a passion for the operation and preservation of farming machinery and artifacts from the “good old days” are always welcome.
