The Youth Trap Shoot contest will take place from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday, Sept 1, at the Watkins Sportsmen’s picnic.
What do you have to do?
Shoot 2 rounds of 15 targets anytime between 11a.m.-4 p.m. Best shooters in each category (boys and girls, and age groups), will receive a trophy for their scores.
What is the cost to participate in this shoot?
$10/youth, that includes the targets, certificates for additional shoots, and facility to shoot at. Cash only, no credit card or ATM on site.
What ages do you need to be?
Age 18 and under. A Gun Safety Certificate is required for each youth, if they have no certificate with them, then a parent needs to be behind the youth shooting.
What do you have to bring?
The shotgun you want to shoot, shells, hearing/eye protection, we will have 12 and 20 gauge shells for sale and hearing protection too.
Trophies for the best scores will be given out, after the shooting is done.
***Every participant shooting in the event will be entered for a chance to win a shotgun. The winner will be drawn after the shooting is done.***
Where do you need to go?
Location is at the Watkins Sportsmen’s Park near Clear Lake, go south of Watkins, on County Road 2, for 3 miles, Park is on your left as you go around the lake.
