At 2:36 a.m. Monday morning, Sept. 2, A 2018 Chevrolet Silverado that had been moving eastbound on County Road 44 in Linden Township left the roadway. It traveled about 200 yards before hitting a field approach at which point it became airborne for about 25 yards before coming to rest in a cornfield parallel to the ditch. Several rows of corn were damaged, and the Silverado sustained extensive damage. The front and side airbags had deployed, and it does not appear that the driver attempted to brake after leaving the roadway.
The driver was 21-year-old Alexander Holb of Eden Prairie. He was taken by Mayo Ambulance to St. Cloud Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Clearwater Fire and Rescue and Wright County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene.
