The Kimball 10U (age 10 and under) Fall Ball softball team concluded its season Saturday,
Sept. 18, at the State Tournament in -Lakeville. The Cubs represented not only Kimball, but also the Crow River League out of Hutchinson.

The Cubs won the first game over St. Michael-Albertville by a score of 11-9 to advance to the final eight teams when it becomes a “win-or-go-home” format.

Playing against Chaska, the Cubs took a 10-7 lead into the final inning, but Chaska got a big hit in their final at-bat and won by a final score of 11-10. It was only the teams’ second loss of the season, but these young girls played extremely well and experienced some exciting, intense situations against some of the best 10U teams in the state.

Congratulations, girls, on a terrific season!
