Marion “June” Ertl of Litchfield died Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2019, at St. Cloud Hospital. She was 87.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 15, at the Church of St. Philip in Litchfield with Fr. Jeff Horejsi officiating. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Monday, with 7:30 p.m. Rosary prayers followed by Parish prayers at 7:45 p.m., and will continue from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Tuesday, all at the church. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Litchfield.
Marion “June” Adella Ertl was born Aug. 18, 1932, in Sherburn, Minn., to Frank and Edna (Spangler) Fisher. She grew up and received her education in Kimball. She was united in marriage to Bernard “Ben” Ertl Sept. 14, 1950, at St. Gertrude Catholic Church in Forest City. She was employed as a certified nurse’s assistant at Emmanuel Home in Litchfield. Marion was a member of the Church of St. Philip and she enjoyed prayer her daily Rosary, playing Bingo, and visiting with her grandchildren.
Marion was preceded in death by her husband Ben, her parents, brother Jerry Fisher, sister Phyllis Walz, and brother-in-law Roman Walz.
She is survived by her children Loretta Ertl of St. Cloud, Vince (and Debby) Ertl of Marshall, Vern Ertl of Alachua, Fla., Erv (and Kathy) Ertl of Apple Valley, Greg Ertl of Minneapolis, Jeff (and Denise) Ertl of Cokato; five granddaughters and one grandson, three step-grandsons, and five step-great-grandchildren; brother Larry (and Sabra) Fisher of Enterprise, Ala.; sister-in-law Karen Fisher of Sauk Centre; and special family friend Mary Stenger of St. Cloud.
Arrangements were by Johnson-Hagglund Funeral Home in Litchfield.
