At about 4:15 p.m. Tuesday,
Oct. 8, a 2011 Chrysler Town and Country driven by Teresa Coulter, 39 of Eden Valley, was rear-ended by a 1999 Dodge Ram pickup driven by Andrew Gertken, 39 of St. Cloud, at the intersection of Highway 23 and County Road 43 west of Richmond. Gertken was following behind Coulter, both heading westbound on Highway 23. Coulter was stopped to turn south onto County Road 43 when her van was rear-ended by Gertken’s pickup causing the van to spin and cross the center line of the highway where it was struck by a 2019 Chevy Suburban, driven by 60-yearold Jon Fogelberg of Randall, that was traveling eastbound. As a result, the Suburban went off the road and rolled onto its roof.
Coulter and her 3-year-old passenger Parker Coulter were both taken to St. Cloud Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Gertken and Fogelberg sustained no injuries. All parties were seat-belted.
Responding to the scene were the Minnesota State Patrol, Paynesville CentraCare EMS, Chain of Lakes Fire, Cold Spring Police, and Stearns County Sheriff’s Office.
