Donald Walters of Watkins died Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2019, at St. Cloud Hospital. He was 60.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 12, at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Watkins. Friends may call one hour prior to services at the church.
Donald R. Walters was born Jan. 18, 1959, in St. Cloud to Norbert and Lucetta (Neu) Walters. He grew up in Watkins, and graduated from Eden Valley-Watkins High School in 1977. Following high school, Don worked as a delivery person for Viking Coca Cola in St. Cloud. Don then moved to the Twin Cities where he was employed as a set builder for Shop NBC Television. In his later years, Don was a PCA for his sister Maxine.
Don was a member of the St. Anthony Catholic Church in Watkins. His hobbies included fishing, golfing, playing cards with his family, and he was an avid Twins fan.
Don was preceded in death by his parents, sister Debbie Manual, and brother Richard Walters.
He is survived by his daughter Missy (and Luke) Recnor of Eden Valley; grandchildren Abby, Cassius, Andre and Dylan; siblings Maxine Billey of Cold Spring, Doreen (and Jerome) Erieau of St. Louis Park, John Walters of Kimball, Kenny (and Clennis) Walters of Easley, S.C., and Mary Walters of Watkins; sister-in-law Judy Walters of Arizona; nieces and nephews.
