There’s nothing like a pile of beautifully wrapped gifts around the tree on Christmas morning, but it takes a lot of time and effort to wrap those gifts. If you have no time for wrapping – or it just isn’t your thing – St. John’s Lutheran Church of Kimball is providing a special service this year for the wrapping-challenged. On five different dates in December (see below), you can bring your gifts to St. John’s and we’ll wrap them for you. You can either enjoy coffee, hot chocolate and cookies while you wait, or return later to pick up your wrapped gifts. We’ll even deliver them for free if you live in town.
For the suspicious among you, there are no strings attached to this service – just bows and ribbon on the gifts. We find great joy in celebrating our Savior’s birth, we’re grateful to be part of our community, and simply want to express our joy and gratitude by helping our neighbors out at a busy time of the year. Though we will accept small donations to cover the cost of the gift wrapping supplies, you are not obligated to do so. This is NOT a fundraiser!
Gift-wrapping is offered at the following times: Tuesdays, Dec. 10
and 17, from 5-8 p.m.; Fridays, Dec. 13 and 20, from 5-8 p.m.; Saturday, Dec. 21, from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. If none of those times works for you, other dates can be arranged by calling (320) 266-8002.
St. John’s Lutheran Church is located at 8871 135th Street in Kimball, in the northeast corner of the Greely Edition housing development.
