Gary Nohner of Watkins died Sunday, Dec. 8, 2019, at Hilltop Health Care Center in Watkins. He was 67.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 17, at Assumption Catholic Church in Eden Valley with Rev. Aaron Nett officiating. Visitation will be from 3-7 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 15, at Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home in Eden Valley, and one hour prior to services Tuesday at the church. Rosary will be prayed at 2:45 p.m. followed by parish prayers at 3 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Gary W. Nohner was born July 19, 1952, in St. Cloud to Leander and Walburga (Janssen) Nohner. He was united in marriage to Joyce Loch Sept. 19, 1976, in Watkins. Gary was a mechanic for Arnold Chevrolet and also worked for Barbarosa & Sons. He was a member of Assumption Catholic Church. Gary was a brilliant mechanic and he liked motorcycling, camping, tractors, classic rock, classic cars, and playing with his grandchildren. He was gentle, loving, reliable, a caregiver, and a teddy bear.
Gary was preceded in death by his father Leander.
He is survived by his wife Joyce of Watkins; children Amy (and Ralph) Hansen of Richmond and Ryan (and Shonda) Nohner of Watkins; mother Walburga Nohner of Watkins; siblings Sandy (and Tim) Kautzman of Litchfield, Steve Nohner (and friend Tammy) of Oklahoma, and Keith (and Diane) Nohner of Farmington; and grandchildren Julia, William, Leander, and Mallory.
