Classes at Independent Lifestyles


Advocates for Independence, meet the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month from 2-4 p.m. at Independent Lifestyles, 215 North Benton Drive, Sauk Rapids. Make a difference in your community for people with disabilities. Increase your leadership, assertiveness, and communications skills. Become a better advocate and have fun. • The Saint Cloud Area Parkinson’s Disease (PD) Support Group will meet Tuesday, Jan. 21, from 1-2:30 p.m. at ILICIL Independent Lifestyles, 215 North Benton Drive, Sauk Rapids. Meetings are open to those diagnosed with PD, their families, caregivers, and the general public. This free group provides support, education, and awareness about the disease. • Tae Guk Kwon Do classes are  Fridays, 4-5 p.m. at ILICIL, Independent Lifestyles, 215 North Benton Drive, Sauk Rapids. Call Scott Ridlon at (320) 267-7717 or come on Friday for your free one-month introduction classes; wear loose clothing and bring your water bottle. All abilities are welcome to attend.

• Adapted Martial Arts classes are Fridays, 4-5 p.m. at ILICIL, Independent Lifestyles, 215 North Benton Drive, Sauk Rapids. Call 5th-degree black belt Master Scott Ridlon at (320) 267-7717 or come on Friday for your free one-month introduction classes; wear loose clothing and bring your water bottle. All abilities and all levels are welcome to attend.

• Certified Rock Steady Coach Gracemarie Tellone will provide a free presentation of Rock Steady Boxing from 1-2:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 21, at Independent Lifestyles, Inc., 215 North Benton Dr., Sauk Rapids. Classes now in session; sign up today by calling The St. Cloud Boxing & Wrestling Club at (320) 654-0202.
