In addition to the play of 103 member golfers, during the first 28
days after opening on April 18, 1,532 golfers enjoyed playing 24,578 holes of KGC golf.
Is coronavirus social distancing required?
Most golfers create social distancing by where they hit the ball. Six feet of distancing is recommended throughout the golf course.
Do I need to wear a face covering?
No, unless you want to mask the identity of your play.
Is the clubhouse open?
All business is conducted through a window on the south side of the clubhouse. Player entry to the clubhouse is not permitted under corona-golf protocols.
Is food and beverage available?
Soft drinks, water and snacks are sold through the window, but during the required closed clubhouse, golf courses are not allowed to sell alcoholic beverages.
Are rest rooms open?
Satellite facilities are provided on the golf course and next to the clubhouse.
What is the golf cart policy?
36 new golf carts are available, with one person per cart required unless two are members of the same family. All carts are sanitized following play.
Is the driving range open?
The driving range is open with six feet distancing.
How are cups and flags being treated?
Pool noodles are in the hole so it’s easy to retrieve the ball without touching the flagsticks which remain in the holes at all times, as temporarily approved under the official rules of golf.
How about ball washers on the tee boxes?
Not there now. Rakes in the bunkers have also been removed to avoid touching.
Are there other coronavirus impacts on playing golf?
Yes. Poor shots and scores can be blamed on the coronavirus!
