The Forest City Threshers Show board met last week and decided that the show would go on, but in a modified, smaller way.
The Tractor Pull will be held on Saturday, Aug. 15, and the Garden Tractor Pull will be held on Sunday, Aug. 16. Exhibit buildings will be open, if those members feel comfortable doing so.
There will be food and beverages available on-site, but the annual breakfast and roast-beef dinner will NOT be held this year.
Rather than admission fees, they ask for a free-will donation when you enter. This will help the club to survive right now, and will go toward current and new projects on the show grounds for the future.
If you feel ill, please stay home. Hand sanitizer will be available on the show grounds, and they ask that everyone stay safe and practice social distancing.
Because of the unpredictability of COVID-19, show events may still change by Aug. 15-16, especially as things change in our area. Updates will be posted on their Facebook page.
Volunteers are always needed to help during the show. New members are always welcome, too, with memberships only $15/year (or $100/lifetime); join now, and learn from some of the older members!
