Valley Tractor Club visits Hilltop

On a beautiful early fall day, residents were able to come out to reminisce and visit with tractor owners. Coffee and doughnuts were brought out later which helped to lubricate the conversations. It was neither too warm nor too cool, and there was only a slight breeze, making it a perfect day to spend time outdoors. ?ÄúThank you?Äù to the Valley Tractor Club for spending part of your day visiting at Hilltop. (Afterward, club members hopped onto their tractors and made a lunch stop at Wally?Äôs Caf?© before heading back to their starting point in Eden Valley.) Staff photos by Jean Doran Matua.

Temperatures dropped

Weather: It was a cool start to the week with temperatures falling into the 30s across parts of northern Minnesota Monday morning.

International Falls dropped to a cold 37 degrees Monday morning.

Most of central and west central Minnesota had a warmer start to the week with overnight low temperatures in the 50s and 60s early Monday morning. This was because of a cloudy to mostly cloudy sky which acts as a blanket and helps keep temperatures trapped and warmer overnight.

We aren?Äôt looking for a lot of moisture this week as high pressure will keep things in check for much of the week. There is a small chance of some additional light rain on Thursday.
